Physics

Physics is the study of matter, energy, space, and time and their interactions in nature. Students first begin their studies in physics by learning about vectors and inertia (law of motion). They then move on to more advanced topics like electrical currents and fields.

Physics entails many complex formulas and is a combination of math and science principles. This can spell trouble for students who may be rusty at their geometry or algebra. Physics, like math, is also very “hierarchical”-meaning each concept builds upon the next. Students who fall behind may have trouble all year with physics. Physics can also be difficult due to its abstract nature. Many of its concepts are counter-intuitive. 

Our physics tutors employ a variety of methods like drawing pictures, performing activities and doing mini-labs to help the student gain a better understanding of the material.
